Tasting Notes:
The nose boasts of raspberry jam, strawberry, red apple and slight hints of earthiness. You will find flavours of sour cherry, raspberry and hibiscus tea. The tannins are slightly tart but the effervescence balances out this easy drinking unique blend of Syrah and Pinot Noir.
Winemaker Notes:
At Dirty Laundry, 'wine is fun' is more than a slogan. In that spirit, and in working on ways to be more sustainable, Mason and his team have created this fun, easy drinking Piquette. Piquette is produced using the leftover grape skins, seeds and stems, then fermenting the remaining sugars. The result is a low-in-alcohol sparkling that is flavourful and easy drinking.
Food Pairing Notes:
No food is needed with this Piquette. A sunny day and a beach would be our recommendation for a perfect pairing. This wine would also be a good addition to a pizza or taco night.
