Aromas of black plum, red cherry, soy sauce & graphite. This wine boasts of black currant, vanilla & sour cherry. You will find a remnants of a fresh baked cherry pie, & a pronounced earthy finish.
Winemaker Notes:
Hand picked & harvested later in the season from the South Okanagan, this fruit was crushed & destemmed, then fermented in small lots. Aged in a mix of French & American oak for 18 months, tasting through each of our barrels & hand select the very best. Decanting this wine will enhance the experience even further.
Food Pairing Notes:
Roasted lamb shank, bison tenderloin, or a roasted Portobello mushroom caps would hold up to the bold flavours of this wine. Pasta dishes with pesto, Italian sausage stuffed peppers, & your favorite pizza will also pair nicely. Stick with a cheese that is not too salty – such as an aged cheddar or gouda.
